We are located in Southeastern WI, in Oconomowoc – centrally located between Madison and Milwaukee. We are about 1.5 hrs north of Chicago.
CAN I GET A VET OUT TODAY FOR AN EMERGENCY?
Yes, as long as you are within our practice area, we have doctors on call 24/7!

WHAT METHODS OF PAYMENT DO YOU ACCEPT?
We offer all major credit cards (Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover), Cash, Check, and CareCredit.
HOW FAR DO YOUR VETS TRAVEL?
Our vets typically travel within a 45-50 mile radius of the clinic. We also travel into northern IL and further into Wisconsin for routine scheduled calls. If you are unsure if we cover your area for routine calls or after-hours emergencies please contact the office at (262) 569-1550.
CAN I DROP OFF OR PICK UP MY HORSE AFTER HOURS?
Yes, we just ask that you give us an expected time of arrival. When you arrive, follow the signs for our office and ring the ‘Call button’, this will notify our staff and we’ll direct you where to go.
WHAT DO I NEED TO BRING IF MY HORSE IF REFERRED TO THE HOSPITAL FOR AN EMERGENCY/HOSPITALIZATION?
If time permits, please bring any medications and/or special feeds that your horse is on in case we want to continue them. Any history and prior diagnostic imaging that you may have is also of great value. Please note that a deposit may be required upon arrival.
WHAT ARE THE OPTIONS AFTER A HORSE GETS EUTHANIZED?
In our practice area, if a horse is euthanized with pentobarbital (a controlled drug known as a barbiturate), it can either be privately cremated or be picked up for mass cremation (no ashes are returned). Burial on your property is an option, too. You just need to make sure the grave is dug deep enough that wild animals cannot dig up the remains, so a backhoe is often required. The grave site cannot be situated on or near a water source. Rules for burial may differ based on your location and individual county rules.
