I am a native of Omaha, Nebraska. My interest in horses started during summers when I would spend time riding with my cousins. My passion grew from there. I started taking lessons and eventually found a horse of my own. I showed hunter/jumpers with my Thoroughbred, Tucker, through high school. I attended Iowa State University where I earned my bachelor’s degree in Animal Science. I was accepted into veterinary school through Nebraska's partnership with Iowa State and attended the first two years in Nebraska. Then I moved back to Iowa and completed my veterinary degree in May 2017.
I made the move to Wisconsin with Tucker, my boyfriend, Darin, and our newly adopted black Lab named Betty. Besides riding, I like to spend my free time baking and traveling. Following my internship I am hoping to find a position at an equine practice in the Midwest. I enjoy ambulatory work and have a strong interest in reproduction as well. I am very excited for the opportunities this internship will bring and look forward to my year at WECH!
