The Ohio State University: Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine 2017
Tennessee Equine Hospital: Internship in Equine Medicine and Surgery 2018
I started taking riding lessons when I was 9 years old, and I was hooked! A few years later I got my first horse, Noah, and started competing in hunters and 3-day eventing. However, just before I began college, Noah developed pneumonia and had to be hospitalized for a month. This was my first experience with a large equine hospital, and it really piqued my interest in becoming an equine veterinarian.
I attended college at Lenoir-Rhyne University in North Carolina, and then attended the Ohio State University College of Veterinary Medicine. After receiving my DVM, I completed an internship at Tennessee Equine Clinic, outside of Nashville, TN.
When not working, I enjoy riding and training my young horse, an OTTB named "Nix", and I hope to be able to event with him in the future. I also have two cats, Newton and Ollie. I love to be outdoors, either hiking or running, and I am excited to learn to ski this winter! When indoors, I enjoy reading and baking (anything chocolate)!
As the daughter of an Air Force officer, I had lived in four different states and in Germany by the time I started high school. I am really looking forward to finally be able to settle down in Wisconsin, and I am so excited to have the opportunity to work with everyone at Wisconsin Equine Clinic and Hospital.
My veterinary interests include emergency medicine, internal medicine and lameness.
