I enjoy the challenges of ambulatory practice. Internal medicine and lameness are two specific areas of interest to me, and I hope to become certified in VSMT and acupuncture as my career progresses.
I grew up in southwest WI on a small farm. My family raised polled Herefords and Percherons until I was about 8 years old. We changed gears a bit and purchased Arabians which we began driving for both pleasure and competition. My first riding horse was a Tennessee Walker pony named “Fixin.” He taught me the ropes and the rest is history.
I completed my undergraduate studies in DePere, WI at St. Norbert College. My DVM degree was awarded to me by the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 2005. Most recently I completed an equine medicine and surgery internship at Littleton Large Animal Clinic in Littleton, CO.
As long as I am outdoors I am content! Kayaking, canoeing, boating, backpacking with my husband, you name it, I’m game! Since I have been in school horseback riding has fallen from this list but hopefully soon I can pick-up where I left off.
